Bought a new iPhone, but don’t know how to set it up?

1. Update The Current Gear
Updating your current phone to the most recently released operating system will help you get rid of potential upgrade issues. Here’s how to do it:
Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
If you have an Apple Watch, go to My Watch > General > Software Update.
When updating, the system may ask to turn on automatic update. Press yes. This will help you stay protected from hacking and security threats, and secure your data.
2. Back Up Your Data
Backing up your data is necessary. Before setting up your new device, make sure you get a clone of your data, transferring important photos, emails, and other data to a cloud service or external device.
You can use iCloud to back up your data through Wi-Fi. However, the process may take a long time, especially when the internet speed is slow. It’s good to connect your new device to an internet-connected Windows PC via USB. It will take about 5-10 minutes. 3. Activate The Phone and Change The Device Name

You should be able to automatically transfer the data from your old phone to your new phone. Just go to Settings > General > About > Name.
4. Set Up Face ID
Once you activate your new device, you can set up Face ID. This is an interesting feature. Instead of unlocking your screen by the fingerprint-reading method or with a code, you can use your face to unlock your phone. Complete the detection circle by moving your head. 5. Add Accounts and Set Up Other Important Information

In case you use different software for managing calendars and contacts, make sure you save the new entries in the right place to avoid any problem later on. 6. Transfer Music
If you have backed up music to iTunes on your personal computer, chances are it’s not loaded to your new device. You’ll want to make sure you are signed into your iTunes account, and then choose the option to sync your music to your new device.
